PPG sent the wrong color and 6 large pieces were powder coated before I noticed. The pieces are aluminum. Can they be powder coated over a second time? Any suggestion what would be the best way to resolve this problem. pieces are 1500.00 to re-manufacture which is out of the question.

Most powder coatings can be recoated.
If you have already cured those products you
should sand the finish before putting on the second coat in order to improve the interface adhesion of the two coats.
Another fix would be to preheat the coated parts and recoat.
In each case you would end up with a thicker coating
which hopefully will not be a problem.

We have successfully powder coated over product already powder coated.
Many times the customer wanted their corporate color to “replace”
the OEM mundane grey or other.
